Hello all,

Our citizenship paper applications returned today with insufficient identification documents reason.

We have attached Passport along with PR card copies. Looks like PR cards are not considered as identification documents. So sending driving license and health card, my question is applications are stamped September 23rd, when sending back the application do we need to send new application and physical presence documents or can i just send the returned application with additional documents?

And will this affect actual timelines?

Kind Regards.

I was in the same situation where my application was returned because of missing identification document.

1. You have to just include the missing documents and resend again unless specifically mentioned by IRCC. Include a covering letter clearly mentioning the new documents that is enclosed.

2. Unfortunately, your timelines will change. They will consider the date of the application you would be resending as the actual received date. You are expected to receive AOR Around 2.5 to 3 months from the date ircc receives the updated application.

Thanks a lot for the response :) will send the additional documents with a cover letter. so sending drivers license and health card for spouse ( she does not have a license yet ) will suffice right?
