Apply Citizenship from outside Canada

My parents filled out the online application form after they became eligible, however, due to one pending document we had to wait till now to submit the application. However, after finishing their residency requirement they travelled abroad on December 2nd. And now since I have been trying to submit the application, I am being asked to update the physical presence calculator and possibly asking me to put the current date, i.e. December 16th.

Putting the current date will mean that I will have to include the time since they left Canada, as our plan was to submit the application on December 2nd to avoid adding another address and mentioning that they are out of Canada.

Is it allowed to submit application from outside Canada?

What did you write in the date of return in physical calculator?

Like, right now, I need to add the date when parent returned to Canada to complete the physical calculator. However, they are out of the country right now. So even though they won't be returning today, do I just enter date of return to Canada is today's date since that is the date of the application?

I don't remember exactly what I did. But at the time of signing my application, I was outside of Canada and I explained that on the cover letter. So I counted an additional day of absence in my calculation.

How are you managing the situation? I am in the same position. I am not in Canada. So not possible to contact CIC
