Inland PR application with OWP + PRE-AOR = Implied Visitor Status?

Currently trying to work out if I need to apply for a visitors record?

I have a Pre-AOR email for my inland PR application which includes an OWP - does this mean I have implied status? Or do I need a full AOR for that?

From what I understand you don’t have an implied status. You would only have one if you had an existing OWP which has expired and you have submitted a renewal request which is under process.

That's not correct.
If you have any legal status in the country such as visitor, student or worker either on Owp or closed work permit and submit an OWP with your spousal sponsorship application you retain your former status as long as your application is at IRCC and not returned to you.
