Hi all
I have taken the online citizenship exam around 9 days ago but my profile is still saying "take the citizenship test - waiting on you". Is this something normal?

Generally wait for 2-3 weeks, with Christmas looming I wouldnt be surprised if you have to wait a bit longer for the updates to show

For those who are curious about my interview yesterday (Calgary office):

The interview went well. The immigration officer asked to see my passport and IDs (Driver's license and PR card). She checked all the passport pages (visas and stamps). I was not asked to submit my passport pages because I submitted all the pages when I sent the application the first time. So, she just compared all the pages that she had in copy with what I was showing to her (since I'm outside of Canada, my passport had an extra stamp).

After checking the documents, she asked if I had the original copy of my IELTS certificate and I said that this document was in Canada. She said that it was okay. Then, she said that everything was fine and she was going to approve everything in the system and the statuses would be set to Completed in a few days, and I would be queued for the Oath Ceremony. She highlighted that the invitation for the Oath ceremony can take 1 to 3 months (I think it might take even more than 3 months, but that was what she said).

She said that they are swamped because of Covid and backlogs, and are even working on Saturdays (which is true, she replied to an email to me on Saturday). Since I’m outside of Canada, it will be better if it takes at least three months because I’ll be back only in January 2022. If I get an invitation before going back, she said that should reply to the email and ask them to postpone it (it’s a different department that schedules the Oath Ceremonies). She recommended doing that because she said that if I ask to take the Oath Ceremony outside of Canada, it will take much longer to get the invite as it makes the logistics to mail the certificate more complicated.

I checked the system today (one day after the interview) and all the statuses are set to Completed, except the Oath Ceremony.

I hope this information helps someone.
So have you requested citizenship ceremony be done outside of Canada? If so, have you heard anything back from IRCC?

You have completed your exam on April 26, and still no updates after that?!
They asked me for fingerprints recently which expired because they never looked at the first one they requested last year but thats about it, last week finally after getting the fingerprints they set my background verification to "completed"

hey guys, hope everyone is doing well. I am reading the instruction letter for the citizenship test and it states: To take the online test you will need:  A photo identification (ID)with your signature on it, such as o your permanent resident (PR) card (even if it’s expired) or o a valid government issued photo ID.
This is a contradiction because my PR card doesn't have any signature on it. Should I use my drivers license to be on the safe side?
Can anyone that has done the test share their experience with this please!
Thank you
