Wow that long… our VO is Sydney Australia. Are these processing times depend on VOs?Finally, my file reopened after 15 months since appeal allowed. Received med req and pre-arriaval letter today. Appeal allowed: Aug. 07, 2020. Visa office: New Delhi.

Hi I was told visitor visa has little chance of being given as Immigration will say husband has stronger ties to stay (with you) than to return 'home' to Melbourne. Maybe someone on the forum could give a better answer, but from what lawyers have said and what I have read this will be the big issue. Immigration will want to know he will return after visit is over so he will need to show strong ties to go back, or you will not be successful.Hello Everyone
Since we are still waiting for them to reopen our file and its taking forever. My question is should we apply for visitor visa for my husband to visit me in Canada? if yes then what are the chances to get it. If anybody knows about it, pls let me know. Coz my husband is living in Melbourne and the borders are closed so I cannot go there to visit him. we decided to apply for a visitor visa for my husband but not sure about it. Our file was refused and appeal allowed in May 2021 and don’t know how long will this take!
Please let me know if anybody knows anything about it.
Thanks in advance
Go ahead and apply for the visitor's visa. Chances may not be good, but 100% of those who do not apply do not get them.Since we are still waiting for them to reopen our file and its taking forever. You won the appeal so your genuineness is not in question anymore. Your chances of trv success are as much as any other regular application. Go ahead and try, but have all the strong ties to home country to convince VO of your return.Hello Everyone

Thank you so much for you genuine opinion. I would definitely talk about all these concerns with my lawyer would like to try rather than just waiting for CPC M to reopen our file.Hi I was told visitor visa has little chance of being given as Immigration will say husband has stronger ties to stay (with you) than to return 'home' to Melbourne. In terms of your appeal being allowed May 2021, and I'm sure you don't want to hear this, there have been people on this forum waiting a lot longer. There seems to be no reasoning on how or why some files are processed before others. We just look to each other for support and guidance.
I wish you luck and hope you get some more feedback from others to your questions/concerns.
Thank you so much.. we’d rather take a chance and apply. You never know the officer would be nice and allow him to visit Hopefully.Go ahead and apply for the visitor's visa. Chances may not be good, but 100% of those who do not apply do not get them.
Of course may be influenced by fact your PR app was refused/appealed. Nonetheless, still apply.

If you get rejected, try up to 10 times. This is more of a money grab attempt than anything else. I've read a person on this forum approved on his 9th attempt LOL.
Its like playing Roullete in a Casino using the double down method....You bet on a color and keep doubling down on it until you win.
