My husband (Italian Citizen) has just received Acknowledgement of Receipt and a temporary application number for his PR application (which also included an Open Work Permit Application). We have also applied for the visitor record just for extra assurance as his status in Canada would become implied after the 11th of December. We have not heard back from CIC about the visitor record though.
This might be a silly question, but I just want to be absolutely certain. With the current circumstance he is in, he should not attempt to leave and return to Canada in the near future, correct? It would be best to stay put until we receive more news (i.e. that the PR application is processing or that his visitor visa has been extended), right?
