I have a question regarding Valid passport, after my approval, i was told to send my valid passport, but i don't have it with me since it was collected after i crossed the border. I called my embassy to see if i can get a new one , i was told they can't issue a new one without the expired passport. what can i do ?

Do you mean copy of passport? They usually don't ask for original. We sent a copy of first page (where the picture is) - this is all we had in our files - and wrote an explanation letter that the original has been seized by CBSA.

Has anyone in the forum got idea - how long does CBSA give us the time until deportation after the first interview? Will we get enough time to settle everything before departure? Will CBSA still send us when our lives will be on risk if we are sent back to our country?

For me and my family we asked for 6 months, they gave us 2 months.

You will need to write a letter telling them what you just stated here that's all.

Anything can happen with CBSA. See the attached link. https://chng.it/gwz4BFtG The man has spent 22 years and has been asked to be reporting to sign for the past ten years!!! Just this year, they ordered his deportation after 22 years in Canada.
