Question if someone can help me pls:

For IMM5669 - Background/Declaration, do I need to provide information only for my mother in law (who we are sponsoring) or her son and husband too (who are not coming with her and are not getting sponsored) ?

Question on IMM1344 - Application to sponsor

If we are submitting online, do we still need to sign the doc physically, then scan and upload? Or uploading without physical signatures will work since while submitting we anyways have to sign electronically? Please help

not only her at least they are their dependant, you should include them... husband and son are not part of the process ?

This is the definition of family members for the principal applicant. If your parents don’t have any dependent then you need to fill the forms only for your mom and dad

Family members
Your (the principal applicant’s) family members include your spouse (even if separated) or common-law partner, your or your spouse or partner’s dependent children and any children that are their dependent children.

Hey! Thanks for the clarification. I deleted my siblings as dependents on the generic application form as they dont qualify. My question is how do i fill the generic application form for my dad? My mum is the principal applicant and ive included him as her spouse on this form. is this enough or do i need another account for my dad?

Both parents must be inlcuded in the application and you must have sufficient income to cover both parents, even if only your mother wishes to immigration.

Your mother can be the primary applicant and your father can be listed as a non-accompanying dependent if he does not want to come to Canada.

However your father will still need to pass the medical, provide PCCs and pass the background check, etc. in order for your mother's PR visa to be approved.

1. I am confused I wanted to know can i create the portal under my name and submit the forms for my mother for her sponsorship with the sponsor form or I have to create the portal under her name.

2. In doc checklist, for Form 5669 it says it must be signed digitally. Now my mother has printed and signed the form so is it ok to scan and upload physical copies or the form has to be filled digitally.

I read the whole forumn couple of times was confused about these two question.

That is enough. Your father will be listed as the dependant spouse as your mother is the principal applicant.

1. I am not sure, but either way make sure you include a) your file number and b) the UCI along with the full names of the people whose documents you are submitting so it's clear.

2. That should be fine. If they really want a digital signature they will email you back and ask for you to redo the document, but that seems unlikely.

Husband and son are not her dependents as per the rules stated in IMM57772
