Looking for people who actually got their parents in Canada on Super Visa. I have some questions regarding Medical insurance coverage

1. Does it cover only emergencies or routine doctor visits for parents?
2. What about pre-existing condition, for example the parent has Parkinsons disease, so will all medications, etc will be covered if we get the pre-existing clause in the insurance?

1. It depends on the policy. Generally only emergencies are covered and you have to pay for the rest out of pocket. There are some more expensive policies that cover doctor's visits with maximums / deductibles. You should speak with an insurance agent to talk about what you are looking for and they can let you know what it's going to cost you and exclusions. Make sure you read the fine print.
2. Pre existing conditions typically are not covered. Again, if you go for a very expensive plan with the pre existing clause then there will be some limited coverage. By no means will this cover all costs and medications will be excluded or largely not covered. You really need to speak with an agent and also read the fine print on the policy. Ultimately insurance companies are in the business of making money and they are not going to sell a policy to you that's going to cost them more than you are going to pay in premiums.
