Many thanks for your insight, greatly appreciate your helpFirst of all no reason to be alarmed. There are quite a number of applications from late 2020 to early 2021 with similar progress as yours.
Second, your medicals were passed in February but expire a year from when you had the actual assessment done. For instance, I was assessed in October 2020 but passed in February 2021 so my medicals have already expired. You might get asked to do them again or they might automatically get extended, either way, wait for communication from IRCC.
Thanks for your prompt response @legalfalcon. Can I delay my child's upfront medical until next January? because my family medical check expires by then and I would like to have all the family medicals at the same time since the IRCC approved clinic is far away from my home town.Congratulations!!
You can either inform IRCC of the change of family composition and IRCC will send you a list of documents and forms which you can fill and send to IRCC.
Alternatively, you can fill in the following documents and send them to IRCC and request them to add a newborn to the application.:
1. An IMM8 Application
2. Schedule A form for the child
3. Additional Family Information Form for the primary applicant and the new family member.
4. Fee receipt for the new family member - Processing fee and right of permanent residence fee
5. Birth Certificate of the child
6. Copy of child's Passport
7. Child's upfront medical
11. Letter of Explanation if required
You can, however, until you provide the medicals for your child, the child will not be added to your application. Thanks for your prompt response @legalfalcon. @legalfalcon What document do you upload to give consent for gcms notes? Is there an official document or do you just type a document

This simply means that your application is pending eligibility. It doesn't say much.@legalfalcon
Can you please help, what does this response means? What background checks mean?
Thank you for your correspondence of September 21, 2021, addressed to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, regarding your application for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
I appreciate you sharing the circumstances that prompted you to write. The impacts of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have had an effect on the Department’s operations and ability to respond to and process applications. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continues to explore options to facilitate processing in these extraordinary times.
IRCC records confirm that your application is currently in queue for an eligibility decision at the Canadian visa office in Cairo, and background checks are not yet complete.
Applicants are contacted if additional information or documentation is needed, should an eligibility interview be required, or as soon as a final decision has been made.
I regret that a more favourable reply cannot be provided at this time.
Sincerely,
F. Macmillan

I noticed something today. I think it is more like grasping at straws to get some vague timeline for PR application to be approved. But no question too dumb. Here it is -
In my GCMS notes next to application number there is a number (2101). It looks something like below on the GCMS notes
Application # : 2101 E10xxx
Does this 2101 have any significance or does it indicate anything? Any idea anyone?
