Visit Visa for my father

Hi,

I have applied for visit visa yesterday for my father from Pakistan, can anybody help on the below:

1. After reading the forum I came to know there is a new portal to apply for visa, I have applied through GC Key, CIC website directed to the link? Is the new portal any different from the old portal?

2. Usually we receive the email instantly for the biometric (as was in my case when I applied for visit visa in 2016) however I haven't received any email yet. Is it normal?

3. I was not asked for the vaccination when applying for visit visa whereas I am reading on the forum about it?
