Congratulations . What was your VO? Did you submit your IELTS report first time?Hi Folks,
My application got updated on 12th November and it said "We are reviewing the additional documents." I had got request to submit hard scan copy for my IELTS which I had done back in February, and it seems like it got updated last week.
Also, I got request to get medicals done again.
Here's my application details -
AOR - Jan 2021
FSW Outland USA !
Does anyone know if application will move at pace after I submit my medicals or is this just automated system updates ?
Thanks.
Hi @cnwamo, while we wait on insight from @legalfalcon, I have some questions/suggestions.@legalfalcon
Your insight is needed please.
I received my PPR on Tuesday however due to unforeseen circumstances i have to leave my current COR by end of december as such i may not have enough time to wait for my copr. I was advised to send a webform to IRCC explaining my current situation which i did and i also tried calling severallly but i couldn't get connected to them. Today i received this message
"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
In order to respond to the high volume of enquiries related to the situation in Afghanistan we have shifted resources in our Client Support Centre and are responding to priority enquiries only.
We will respond to these priority enquiries only:
· Clients in crisis situations (like those affected by the situation in Afghanistan)
· Clients facing vulnerable circumstances (emergency and urgent requests)
· Clients who need to tell us about a change in their circumstances, which has a direct impact on their application (like marriage, birth of a child, or similar)
· Clients who are submitting documents requested by one of our officers
· Changes in contact information
· Requests to withdraw an application or refunds
· Ask questions about the 2021 invitations to apply to sponsor parents and grandparents
If your enquiry is NOT one of the priority enquiries listed above, you will not receive a reply.
If you included attachments with your enquiry, rest assured that they will be added to your file shortly."
My question is will i receive another message or does this mean they won't be responding?
My second question is on my PPR i saw this
"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform our Hong Kong office immediately via the IRCC Web Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp with details concerning your situation."
Does this mean my visa office is in hongkong?
Thanks @Vidnomenon. I have all documents ready but when i called the vfs centre in shanghai, i was told 4 to 8 weeks and this spooked me. I live in mainland China and the Shanghai office submits to the Visa office in Beijing. Beijing and HK have different VFS centres alsoHi @cnwamo, while we wait on insight from @legalfalcon, I have some questions/suggestions.
Don't you think you would be able to submit your passport and get it back before the end of December? Most PPR/COPR have a turnaround time of less than a month.
To your first question, they will still respond. Your case is quite urgent and therefore should be attended to.
To your second question, I guess HK is your VO. This might explain why you got PPR quite early too. HK seems to have some kind of priority in finalizing applications much like the US.
I hope you get things sorted out as soon as possible. Good luck
The message you received simply means that IRCC will respond back, but it will take time. If you clearly mentioned that you wish to submit your passport in the country you are moving to and provided your new address, you will soon receive a new set of instructions to submit your passport in the country you are moving to.@legalfalcon

Alright, then it makes sense to be safe. Hopefully you get the new set of instructions soon! Thanks @Vidnomenon. It's somewhat confusing too because i did my biometrics in shanghai while i was on vacation.
I was thinking the same thing but 4 to 8 weeks or more would lead to me becoming an illegal resident

As per the letter it seems that HK is your visa office. However, check the directions in the letter, transcription errors are common with IRCC.
First of all no reason to be alarmed. There are quite a number of applications from late 2020 to early 2021 with similar progress as yours.Hi everyone,

I have been blessed with a new born baby a couple of days ago and I want to add him to my application. Could you please advise on what are the steps that I shall follow, taking into consideration that I cannot have his passport ready until a month or two from now because of an appointment issue?
