Did u get any update?

When did u apply and when was the biometric done? As per my understanding I don’t think they start processing without having the biometric done

Hi Everyone,

I've applied for supervisa for my parents in Aug 2021, now IRCC asks travellers to resubmit visitor visa applications if sent before September 7 to expedite the application process. They've mentioned there: "Specifically, if you are waiting for a decision and need to travel to Canada for one of the following reasons:" and one of the reasons is

• to reunite with family members in Canada, including permanent and temporary residents;

My question is, all supervisa applications automatically qualify for this point. So all the applications prior to 7 Sept. should be processed in the expedite time, any thoughts or suggestions on this will be helpful!
I'm not able to get a clear picture in the forum, are we noticing that the supervisa applications applied after 7 Sept. is processed faster?

I reapplied for my mom and got decision in 15 business days while there some who waited and got their application processed while in queue. It's upto you if you want to expedite or not but one thing is for sure is applications in queue are taking time to process.

Hello Friends,

My parents already had Visitor Visa, however my father’s Visa is going to be expire soon - I applied for the Super Visa for my for them and below are the updates

• Date of Application - 17 October 2021 (GCKEY)
• Confirmation of Online Application Transmission - 17 October 2021
• Submission Confirmation – 19 – October 2021.
• Biometrics – Done with Visitor Visa Application in (2019)
• Status: In Progress - Currently Waiting for Medical.

Can some one share some timeline information? Do I need to apply again using New Portal?

Can my parents travel to Canada with short visitor visa timeline while their Super Visa application in process?

Can we go ahead for upfront medical and submit it while application is in process?

Mother super visa timeline:
applied on July 8th
Biometrics submitted on August 16th - profile not updated
Raised a webform on August 22nd for covid 19 exemption
Received mail response on Sept 10th
Received re submission of biometrics request Oct 3rd
Re submitted biometrics - Nov 16th
Biometrics updated on the profile - Nov 17th

We haven't done upfront medical. Any idea, when we can expect a request for medical from IRCC? is there anything else we can do here regarding medicals apart from waiting for IRCC request?

No never changed until my mother in law sent her passport and got her visa and that was updated on Nov 10th. And this is what it said

I have applied for my parents in March 2021, biometrics has been done on Aug 26, 2021, no update after that

My timeline is
Date of Application Submitted/AOR: March 31, 2021 (GC Key)
- Biometric Submitted: August 23, 2021
- Biometric Updated in Portal: August 23, 2021

No update after this.
Should I submit a new application?
How can I contact CIC?
Do I need to submit any web form?
