Two year program

Hi,

I wanted to ask if someone is doing a 1+1 program and its three terms of studying one term of co-op will that count as a two year program? Keeping in mind 2 terms studying -> 1 co-op term -> 1 term studying.

Will I get a three year work permit if I do that?

Depends on the DLI and structure of the program. So first program is 2 semesters and second program is one semester plus co-up.

First program is two study terms and one co-op term. The second program has the same first term courses as the first program and it would be one academic term. total is 12 month of studying and 4 month of co-op.

So would guess 18 months to 2 years.

No its a total of 16 month with 4 month of that as a co-op

What program is the second one which lasts only for a semester? Note that as per IRCC a program must be at least of 8 month duration to be PGWP eligible on its own. If qualifying for a 3 yr PGWP is the primary objective choose as your second program a course which lasts at least two terms.

In addition, why would you choose as your second program to which only duplicates what you would have already covered and nothing more?

First program is SCM and its two terms and one co-op term. I can choose to combine operation managed with it and it shares level 1 with SCM therefore I don't need to redo term 1 and can only do one extra term to get two degrees.

What university gives you two degrees in such a short period of time. Are they Masters?

No, its a post grad certificate Supply Chain management+ operations Management at Fanshawe college

You have the study permit for the SCM, correct. Have you completed the first program. And then the second program overlaps the first year. It really depends on how IRCC view the two programs.
