Citizenship test canceled in March 2020. _ is Montréal office dead?

Guys. I sent my citizenship application in January 2019, and after sending additional documents, I was finally invited to the test in March 2020. Unfortunately, that’s when the COVID came, and my test was canceled. I haven’t heard any news ever since…..My CIC tracking says all are in process, the most recent update was March 2021 where my background check was updated to in process.

Is there anyone here experiencing the same? What is happening in Montreal office?!

Have you sent a webform? Also contact your MP to assist you as IRCC may not be reachable easily to applicants. Montreal office is slow, but your file is taking way too long. Have you requested ATIP notes on your file to see if it's complex? It might be the case for you.

Thanks for your reply. I have sent several web forms, all gave me standard/useless reply. What is MP? I assume that as I was already invited to the test, that means the review of my file should’ve been completed. I don’t understand what complexity should be here. Thanks!

MP = member of parliament (of the electoral district where you reside). Inviting you to the test is the first step. After that there is physical presence, language skills and prohibitions. Your file will be completed once a decision is made on your file. Request ATIP notes on your file here.
