As Canada.ca says that study permit will expire in 90 days after receiving completion of program letter. My study permit valid date is until July next year. I received my completion letter last week. I will apply for PGWP in few days. So my question is: Although my study permit date is valid for 9 months, do I still have to follow 90 days rule after I apply for PGWP？Do I have to extend my study permit during the period of waiting PGWP（my study permit is still valid for 9 months, which is enough for waiting PGWP. But 90 days is not long enough. so Im so confused.）？

90days rule applies in your case and your study permit will expire 90days from the day you received your completion letter, or the day printed on the completion letter. You dont need to extend your study permit to apply for PGWP, just go ahead and apply for PGWP. You will be no longer student after 90days, and have no ground to apply for extension. hope this clarifies
Thank you for ur reply. I just dont understand that what I need to do after 90 days. For example, if my PGWP will be approved after 100 days, I will have no status in Canada during that 10 days right？
You will have implied status the day you apply your PGWP. Lets say you apply today, then you have implied status until they make final decision about your PGWP.... but if you dont apply within 90days from your last day of school, you wont have status

Yes, go ahead and apply provided your have all required documents from your school and you dont need to worry about your status after you apply until they decide on your PGWP
