For landing formalities, you need to carry your valid passport, COPR copies, proof of funds (either recent bank statement or bank letter), vaccination proofs and provide mailing address to get your PR card delivered.

If you dont leave the airport or move out of the airside (means you stay inside the airport without any immigration at the Frankfurt airport) then you should not need any local Germany visa. Its simply a transit. From COVID negative scanning perspective, since you would have taken a negative test in UAE itself PRIOR to boarding flight at Dubai - you would be all set for Canada. Border Services at Canada accepts all negative c19 result from all countries, except that in India - it is just ONE particular test centre in Delhi which has acceptable certificates. But we digress - you will be all good!

Can anyone please confirm location of GeneString lab on airport? Because of issues with timing of connecting flights, I am considering to book train tickets for my parents to Delhi? Will they need to walk a lot to get test done, if they reach airport using cab? Also, is there any Hotel nearby? Sorry, I don't know much about Delhi airport.

Don’tdo it friend, BA is bull shit. They only take you if your final stop is in England. They won’t call you until a day before your departure & say that due to the air bubble agreement between india & UK, we can’t let you pass through UK for Canada. It’s in their website ba India specific page.

Was this travel done by Canadian Citizen or was a Schenghen Visa taken? Is RTPCR test available for transit passengers in Frankfurt?

I had a flight scheduled via zurich to Mumbai for December. Air Canada changed it to direct flight to Delhi. Agent said that direct flights via Europe are not allowed. Not sure if it is instead because International flights are currently banned in Mumbai.

If you are an indian passport holder and your spouse is Canadian, it seems that you both would be eligible to travel through.

I understand there is no testing facilities in Doha airport, so will Qatar Airways allow me to board the flight for Toronto from Doha with the PCR test done in India?
