As long as both sides allow them to do so.My parents are from India and they have visitor visas with multiple entries for both Canada and the US. Can they frequently travel between these two countries for an year or so?
At a certain point either country could deny them entry or limit how long they remain in Canada or the US if they feel like they are essentially living between the 2 countries and don’t have a base in their home country. My parents are from India and they have visitor visas with multiple entries for both Canada and the US. Thanks! They are visiting us after 4 years, so they want to spend more time with us. I know, at certain point they will not be allowed. But I was wondering, if they can make at least 2 visits between these countries. Also, if they are allowed to visit for 1 month initially, can they come back immediately? At a certain point either country could deny them entry or limit how long they remain in Canada or the US if they feel like they are essentially living between the 2 countries and don’t have a base in their home country.

Yes that shouldn’t be a problem. Some people spend 6 months in each country and keep moving between relatives without going home. That is the type of situation that leads to eventual issues. Thanks! Yes, everyone goes through immigration. Will the CBSA officers interview each and everyone at the airport(especially during pandemic)?
Thanks for responding, I know for the fact that they ask for proof of funds. But in our case, they approved visas for my parents even though they showed less funds for 6 months and my wife(she is on leave without pay) and I are not working currently. Do you think this will impact during the immigration process?Yes, everyone goes through immigration.
It's hard for me to say. Most likely not. But it's impossible for any of us to say for sure. It's possible CBSA may ask a question around funds to support their visit when your parents enter Canada. We do sometimes see people granted less than a six month visit if CBSA feels their funds aren't sufficient. However I would say that's rare and most likely your parents will be fine. Thanks for responding, I know for the fact that they ask for proof of funds.
