Received a mail from IRCC, "We're still working on your application."
I don't know until when they will continue to do so :(
AOR : Jan 2020
COR : India
EE : FSW
I too received this mail yesterday. Hoping that the process gets done asap.

Any idea on the delay backlog being chonolgical or not, as in, if there is a pattern to it? Are there FSW-O people in Feb, Apr, May of 2020 AOR who have gotten PRs? Are they too facing the same delay or are there cases of COPR for the later batches s well?

Hi @legalfalcon , Good day. I have received my passport submission payment link twice. Is that expected or that could have been an error ? I am the applicant and have 2 dependents. 2 adults and a child. Do we need 3 AWBs for 3 people ? Can you please advise

Hi @legalfalcon

In my earlier gcms there was a section :

Name: CPCO COVID RFV
Status: IN Progress

Now it says

Name:CPCO COVID RFV
Status: Closed

do you know what the change in status signifies?

IRCC routinely groups the applications in certain groups. the change only signifies that the whatever stage the progress was, is not complete.

Which country are you submitting your passport in. Check with the VFS for local instructions.

I have a similar situation. My app previously stated in progress and then moved to closed when it said approved. So I’m guessing we just cleared a certain step?

@legalfalcon can someone on an implied visitor status do their landing inside Canada once they receive ppr? Is implied status a legal status?

Yes, implied status is a legal status. IF you receive a PPR, while you are in Canada, pre-cOVID you could go to the border and do a flag polling, however, CBSA is no longer allowing, so you will have to inform IRCC to send you the portal instructions so that you can get a e-COPR.

Ok. Thank you for the response

One more potential edge case: What happens if I travel to Canada as a US citizen, just to visit friends for a week and suddenly PPR comes through in my email? Do I suddenly need to do something while inside Canada or can I just finish my vacation and return to the US and then send over my photocopies?

Also do I need to inform IRCC if I'm traveling to Canada for vacation?

Hi @legalfalcon I recently got my GCMS notes. It shows that my medicals are valid until 15th DEC 2021 and my spouse medicals are valid till 3rd March 2022. As per my last GCMS notes in March 2021, my spouse’s medicals were valid until 1st Jan 2021. Request your kind support on a few questions -

1) Despite the medicals showing up as valid in GCMS notes, why does the overall medical status reflect as expired in GCMS?

2) I was trying to understand when my spouse’s medicals were extended but unable to see any update date. Even the notes section doesn’t reflect that. Could you advise where in the GCMS notes can I see the update date?
