you dont have to receive the email to be able to take the test, when it is time to take it, you can go to https://ct-tc.apps.cic.gc.ca/?lang=en and put your application and UCI number and start the test. @Kfouad @Orlaith

I was in the same boat and took the test anyway. But the portal is still saying that they are waiting on me to do the test - I look it on 25th.
Thanks. I did take it anyway and emailed my office (Ottawa) to say I had done so. Im just worried now because the portal is still saying 'waiting for you' to take the test..... anyone in the same boat?
It took us around 2 weeks after the test for them to show completed. It depends on when the officer reviews the test photos to confirm it and update the system. I’ve see. Some people updated the day after to more than a month later

did they request to take a pic of additional documents? that what worries me. some says its better to wait for the letter as they might ask you to present documents other than ur ID
