visitor application

Hi everyone, my immediate family visiting application to visit me has been submitted about 9 month ago, I wanted to reapply again on the new visitors stream.But I decided to raise enquiry about the submitted application first through a web form, and this morning, I got a response that, "your application is under active review", please can anyone interpreter this for me, because if I should submit a new application it will pull out the previous one.
