November 2020 - Citizenship Application

Hello,

We sent my dad's application for citizenship last November. Last month, I received an email asking us to provide a scanned colour copy of his passport which we did and sent back on the same day (Sept 28th) via email. I haven't received a confirmation email and I cannot see on the tracker that his passport was even requested. I sent them an email to confirm that they received it but they didn't reply back. I tried calling them but I wasn't able to reach an agent. Is this normal? The email address is IRCC.DNMISCitizenshipE-Test-ExamenenligneCitoyenneteMISRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

Any advice?

Update: they just confirmed that they recieved my document and that they will inform me if they need anything else. It took them a week to get back to me regarding the email asking for confirmation.

Sending my renewal for my PR card this week. My PR card is expiring next month. I have no more faith that I'm going to get citizenship before 2023.

I've seen some activities on Mississauga office on Facebook group during last 2 weeks of October month but Scarborough office, no idea what's happening there. One person applied on January 2021 and received his Oath date on November 2021 already. This whole process totally depends on someone's luck I guess.
Hope everyone get some updates soon on their application.

This is the most frustrating part. It all seems to be based on luck, whims and fancies of the case officers.....etc. Not a real pleasant experience to be in.....

Guys, huge update!!! I am scheduled for Oath on November 5, 2021!!!
I just checked the status update and was not expecting to see any updates, but now I can see the end at the end of the tunnel! I have not received any email yet, just the status update.
It is strange because others have been scheduled for Feb-March next year, but mine is just in 3 weeks.
Please update the spreadsheet. My heart goes to those patiently waiting.

Paper on online application? Could be one of the cases in the original pilot program that run on a much smaller ring.

I just checked the status update and was not expecting to see any updates, but now I can see the end at the end of the tunnel! I have not received any email yet, just the status update.

Wow thats super fantastic news to be scheduled in around 2 weeks time where others are being slotted for Feb/March 2022

that I didnt notice or never mentioned by that person. It doesnt matter. I feel bad for those who are from 2019 and 2018. Their application should not be ignored at the first place. I hope everyone get their Oath date soon regardless whenever anyone applied. I honestly tell myself, last hurdle! last one! lol

It just never ends . after oath the certificate then the passport wait !
