I applied for family sponsorship for my husband in october 2020 through postal means to Nova Scotia CPC. Till date I have not reeived an email or AOR confirming the application receival. I raised many webforms but they give generic response. I am depressed. I dont know what to do.

Have you tried linking an application to a GCKey account or checking status of an application using ECAS?
If neither of those options work, contact your Member of Parliament. You should have received at least some indication of something in the past year - I would suspect your application was returned and lost in the mail somewhere.

One should atleast have an application number to link an account. That is obtained once they open the file. In my case, that has not yet happened..... How can we contact the MP?
You don't need an application number to try to link an account. You can try other pieces of information.
You should be able to find your mp at https://www.parl.ca/
I tried with name, dob surname and everything... Nothing is working... I contacted the office of the MP. They have dropped a phone enquiry to ircc. Thank you for your valuable advice. I hope this works.
