Congratulations
Did they called you asking for your health first then they give you a date ?
I had a call from the IOM on 4/10 and still waiting
We actually got a call from the IOM too but we were told to attend a cultural orientation course in person. We went to the IOM office and when we were done, the IOM handed us Certificate of Completion (for the course) and on the same day, the IOM told us our flight date. We have to go back tomorrow to hand them some papers and also next month. After that comes the final step which is the PCR test and then the travel.

You guys are so lucky! We haven’t got a single word from any office after 3 months our quarantine plan was submitted. The ecas shows in process, wondering why does it take such long in Pakistan.

Hi. Your flight date is confirmed with your consent or not? How long time does the IOM give to book the flight at any specific date? I wanted to know whether the IOM asks the refugees about the date/month on which refugee can travel.

Good day and safe travel !!

Of course I consented to it. They didn't ask if I were but it was fine by me. They gave us 10 days and a month to prepare but we still have some things to do before travelling. Thank you for your wishes.

Ok. Thank you so much ! Can a person delay his flight for another 30 or 40 days after discussing his concern with IOM? I want to know the expiry time of Travel Document or Visa that is issued to refugees. If a person is under treatment he should be given 6 months time to travel any time when its convenient and as per doctor advise !

You can but you don't get to choose the length of the delay. If you are not ready to travel then your travel will be delayed until further notice. You won't choose the new flight date. They will.

Ok. Thanks dear. Do you know how much weight is allowed for hand baggage and checked baggage per person? What is the additional costs based on extra weight? What is the age limit to book a seat for children?

Best regards,

Best regards,
You are allowed ONE Personal item, it can be anything from Backpacks, Purses and any small bag that you can leave under the seat in front of yours in addition to ONE Standard item such as a Carry-on. The latter should be light enough to keep in the overboard bin.
Your Carry-on bag should weigh 20 KGS or less per passenger. For Infant Bags, it's 6 KGS. As for the Checked Bag, I guess anything above 23 kgs and there will be fees for that. If you are flying with Air Canada, you'll be charged $100 and maybe more. For other Airlines, I have no clue. The weights I mentioned for luggages both Standard and Personal are for Egypt Air. The IOM in Egypt has stated that but then again, It may be slightly different from where you live, partially depending on the airline you are flying with but overall, you can go here for more info on what's acceptable and not when flying with Air Canada. As for your last question, you can double check with the IOM in your current country. You and everyone else on this thread shall find out more once you guys do the cultural orientation session. I'd suggest you wait until you reach this step before buying your travel stuff. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/plan/baggage/checked.html

Hello dears, my medical results have been received by IRCC end of June 2021. as per IRCC website saying ‘’If you’re applying as a permanent resident, it takes about three months to process your results after we get them from the panel physician. After that, if we don’t need any other documents from you, we’ll tell you what to do next, and if the processing time for your medical exam has passed, use our Web form to ask about the status of your case’’

1) My sponsor doesn't received any quarantine plan, should I fill web-form since my medical processing time exceed 3 months to know the status of my medical and what is the next and when?

2) What does it mean medical results have been received in ecas, unfortunately GCKey doesn't allow applications of Private Sponsor Refugee to be linked to IRCC to understand more details.

Yes. Your sponsor should definitely contact IRCC and send in an inquiry about this delay.
"Medical results have been received" means they've been received as stated and that they're currently being reviewed until the IRCC officer either approves of them or asks you to retake some exams. In case of approval, the next step for you is the quarantine plan.

Brother does quarantine plan mean your case is successful? No chance of rejection afterward?
