Work permit and visa expiring. How to renew? Please help. Asking for a friend

-LMIA exempted
-Nominated through SINP
-Visa expiring in December 2021
-Permit expiring in November 2021
- Paperbased Application for PR submitted in April 2021 and havent heard anything and haven’t received AOR
-contract with employer is continuous

What are the requirements to renew?

How long is the processing time?

What will happen if processing will take time and visa/permit expires?

Usually PNP comes with a letter to apply for WP check if you have that or ask for it
Processing times are not predictable it could be anywhere from 2 to 9 months just assume
If you apply before it expires then you continue as a previous status which is implied status until your decision

Thank you Am11. Do you know what are the requirements for my friend to start the process? My understanding is my friend needs to submit Job Offer letter, Nomination Certificate, LMIA number or number that will be issued to employer after paying the compliance fee. Please shed us some light… so much appreciated!

Did your friend check the nomination from province if it has a letter to support WP application, if he is exempt from LMIA then why bother applying for it. Nomination would also be required .
