The mail clearly says to not to do an upfront medical as it may delay the process. Section pasted below -Hello folks,
Is it worthwhile to wait for re-medical request from IRCC or do an upfront medical (after responding to the ultimatum email)? Will submitting an upfront medical report shorten the waiting time to receive PPR for expired COPR holders.

Thanks for the info CNP!The mail clearly says to not to do an upfront medical as it may delay the process. Section pasted below -
Important: Do not do an up-front medical examination. Completing a new medical examination before IRCC asks you to will delay processing, and may lead to you spending more money to do a new one later on.

Even I am wondering the same. On what basis are they responding to applicants. Is it based on country of citizenship, current location, type of application (FSW/PNP outland/inland single applicant/ multiple members attached to the principal applicant), pre/post-March expired COPR etc... or some other assessment criteria. Trying to understand their response trend.Hello CNP,
Is there a particular pattern of their updates after the ultimatum email?
I replied to the email on 8th Sep 21 (Same day) and my file went to processing on 29th Sep 21. My medicals are expiring in Nov 21.
So I am a bit confused...some people already got medical request after they replied on the day I replied...some people got it after a month or so...some are even waiting from last 6months..
And some are waiting for a very long time even after their medicals got done..
what are your thought?
Yeah almost seems random. Maybe it's VO based and vaccination rates? I've seen quite a few people get the "Do you still want to immigrate" email after me and still get an update before me. I haven't received an application update or re-medical yet. So getting the email earlier doesn't seem to mean much.Even I am wondering the same. On what basis are they responding to applicants. Okay. Let’s hope for the best for all!!Manila
I happened to talk to an IRCC agent just now. Although my file is still in reprocessing stage, everything else except Medical’s seems to be verified. The agent says I may or may not receive a remedical request. Still unsure on what grounds are they reassessing most applications. Well let’s hope for the best for all!!!For those that received remedical requests, did anyone receive it without their application being updated first? Also it seems like updates are only on Tuesday now? Or did anybody receive updates outside of Tuesday?
