Citizenship status not updating 2021

Hello, on the website it says that they would update the status weekly, but for my application, the status has not been updated for more than 3-4 months. Is this concerning? What shall I do as my next steps? Should we just wait?

Weekly on the their majestic website to say where they are in processing applications, not your file. What was your last update? It's normal to wait 3-5 months between updates

ohh I see! The last one was about clearing the citizenship test, I haven't received anything else since then

If we fail to pick up the letter and it is sent back? Will they send it again?

Not pick it up, how? You mean if they sent it to an address that you no longer live in?

We sent the application through Canada post. We got a message asking us to pick something from the Canada post centre, but we had some problems so could not pick it up. They said the package was returned and there was no information about the sender apart from it being from Mississauga! We don't know whether it was related to the citizenship application or not. We did not get any email from them either.

I see. Has your file been open? If not, it's unlikely that this was your file returned since files are returned from Sydney, NS, I believe. If your file is open, it means they verified the documents, and deemed it complete. If your file is open, did you do the oath?

How do I know if it has been opened? We just completed the citizenship test and received no further updates. No we havent done the oath either

Since you have done the test, it means you have already received AOR, which is a confirmation that your file is open.

Did you provide your email on the application form? How were you notified to take the test?
