Awesome you are 100% right he went on entry visa. Thank you!Are you sure he went on a tourist visa? Unlikely. However, there is a chance he might have visited India on an entry visa.

Yes they are allowing entry visa. And recently allowed tourrists visa too.Hi Guys,
I really need to confirm, whether Indian Government is allowing Canadian Citizen with Entry Visa or not ?
I tried to find the same on official website but got nothing.
I already applied for Entry Visa for my minor child and will get it by next week so want to confirm before making any travel plan.I have seen on BLS as well as on EVisa website that they allowing person with Entry visa who is immediate relatives of Indian Citizen but it didn't update recently.
They took one photo from me as that was a specification. When you applied did the take the physical photo of your newborn, coz they didn't take mine and I am worried ?
Approximately 40 - 45 days from the day it was submitted. My Kid's Timeline for OCI Application
Type: In-Person Walk-in (Brampton BLS)
Application Submitted: Sep 3, 2021
BLS "Under Process": Sep 5, 2021
BLS "Processing at Consulate General": Sep 6, 2021
ociservices.gov.in "Under Process": Sep 16 2021
Document printing: Oct 08, 2021
Dispatched from MEA (New Delhi): Oct 09, 2021
Doc received at Toronto: Oct 09, 2021
BLS website: Still in the process
May I know in how many days the status will change in BLS site for the pick-up?
Not heard of any police check for any OCI application yet. The Indian consulate has stopped taking application due to covid reasons, so all applications should be done via BLS. The Canadian passport number of days should not vary I believe. In case you have urgency you can go for express passport service. For whoever has completed the process of oci can please let me know if there was any police check done at Indian address similar to passport renewal they do?
Instead of BLS can we go to downtown consulate office for surrender and OCI application?
For canadian passport number of days will differ If we apply In Torornto/Scarborough?
please someone advise.
As far as I know one should have PT-PCR test negative report to go to India. Please confirm again. Else you may be denied a boarding at Toronto for Delhi bound flight. No you don't have to get RT-PCR test again when you arrive at delhi.
this is tricky situation. I Believe in that case the PT-PCR test done at Ahmedabad airport should be valid. But he should confirm this will airlines. It’s understand that travel to India needs RT-PCR 72 hours prior to fly to New Delhi ( Presently direct flight from Toronto to Delhi is only activated later Mumbai can be added) So I believe RT-PCR can easily be obtain from Canadian city as we are residing here and easily accessible.
But those traveling to India through Delhi are residents of various states and cities. Now looking to Patelboss valid question that on return he will fly from Ahmedabad to Delhi - Toronto and he has only 3- hours connecting time at Delhi Airport under such situation is it feasible to take RT- PCR from Ahmedabad airport or it is mandatory to get it from Delhi only.
This is what protocol he is raising. There are also travellers whose destinations are Surat or Baroda. Rs.500 charge for RT- PCR is immaterial here.
Can any one guide on this query.
To my Knowledge, you should get a RT-PCR testing from Delhi Terminal - 3 only if you are flying directly from India. If you are flying other way you should get tested in a 3rd country 72 hours before your flight to Toronto, so you will need to get tested at Doha if you can enter the country but 2 hours will be too short. Many countries have COVID testing near by the airport, I would say call the airline and ensure. I myself am stopping in Dubai and heading out to get the test donePT_PCR Test while coming back to Canada. (Sorry for asking it here but this is the most active thread).
I am travelling back to Canada from KOLKATA - DOHA(transit) - TORONTO.
1) Is Canadian recognized PT-PCR test facility at Kolkata airport?
2) My transit time at Doha is just 2 hrs. Do I need to get a PCR test from there too?
The latest guidelines from Canadian govt. through third country is confusing. It says it should be done at least 72 hours before flight to Canada. Does that means test done at Kolkata will be valid while boarding at Doha to Toronto?

My mother in law recently went to India, they needed a RT-PCT test before boarding the flight here and did one when she landed in Hyderabad and took INR 1250As far as I know one should have PT-PCR test negative report to go to India. Thank you for replying. They haven't taken my daughters picture from me but it says processed and delivered to BLS on oct 19th. So I assume it should be good. They took one photo from me as that was a specification.
Just spoke to CBSA customer care. They said until and unless you break journey at DOHA its not required to have test done there. The PCR-TEST from KOLKATA will be valid in case of just a transit. But I will prefer to have a written confirmation as well. I am also curious to know how other travelers are travelling from same route with just 2 hrs overlay at DOHA.To my Knowledge, you should get a RT-PCR testing from Delhi Terminal - 3 only if you are flying directly from India.
