December 2020- Citizenship Applicants

I am in exact same scenario as I am. I sent same day they received differently but also april/23rd my BG check is marked as complete and nothing else after that so I am willing to request ATIP to see if that provides me with some additional info. The thing is that will take time as well

Hi All!

I just want to see if I understand these time lines, please see below, In one of them says Dec.21st, on the other one says Feb/26 as the date it has been filed, so which date should I be considering as starting point considering that BGC was done and marked as completed and as far as I know it means, no issues right?. Therefore my question is what is it taking so long? :

so If I check my case through Case number the old location I get this:

Citizenship

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 21, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 26, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on April 8, 2021.

Then When I check the dates in the new tracker, I get this:

App reached Dec 4,
AOR Feb
BG July --> See the inconsistency? difference of 3 months between yours and mine.

And that's it. Nothing after that. I'm hoping we will get the test invite by Dec 2021.

Yes, it’s very frustrating. I do recognize the fact about covid and the delays but why some are much faster than others that’s what I am trying to understand

I got a request on 29th August to submit All passport pages photo copies colored even the blank ones and the translations of the stamps that are not in English.
I sent the required documents and it was delivered to the Scarborough office on 3rd September 2021. But I got nothing since then! does it usually take that long?

nah, you should be getting it between now and December there must be some hope so let's not discourage we will get it soon...

and since then nothing ! lol im crossing my fingers i get my citizenship in 3-4 years hopfully on this pace!

My first application was filed on Oct 2019, they sent it back indicating a "missing checkbox"
I resent it on Jan 2020, and I never heard anything after, I guess they received it and lost my package.

Finally I resent on Dec 2020 , after seeing everyone's application was moving faster. Which was finally received with AOR in Feb. and BG done on July.
And that's it, nothing heard.

Technically I'm a Oct 2019 applicant, still waiting... forever.

• Citizenship test completed: July 6, 2021
• Language, Physical Presence, Prohibitions completed: October 8, 2021
• Last Updated: October 11, 2021
• Your citizenship application status: In progress (In Process on ECAS)

I'm guessing Oath will probably be sometime in 2022 based on the replies here,

no loss at all. Just delays delays and more delays... that's all but we will get it soon that is for sure... Gotta say though that when I came since first submission under WP like 3 times they were really fast and then to become PR was also really fast as a Family of 4, now that I submitted alone because boy are all on their own and wife wanted to wait until she is 55, there is lots of backlog.. such is life so wait is not one of my skills but what can I do...
