Hello, I am working in E-commerce sector in India. Where business is registered under my father's name. I can get reference letter from my father but the issue is we are online marketplace seller. Our GST is registered for same address as on my passport (as we don't need or have extra location to operate online business). How can i validate that?

(P.S - I genuinely worked for my company and have good experience in my field.)

In Immigration Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), nowhere is it written that one cannot claim points for experience earned in father's / relative's company but that said the onus falls on you my friend to prove that you actually work for your father and that you are being remunerated by payment or commission (yes they accept commission also and for matter of fact cash salary also, as long as you can prove it) and that you are not faking the papers to claim your work experience.

Now back to onus part, provide the following documents:

A) Very Important:

1) Reference Letter.

Watch Kubeir Sir's video.

2) Salary Slips. Now because you work in family business provide salary slips for the entire work duration you are claiming points for.

3) Bank Account Statement of the salary account (again for the entire duration).

4) Tax Returns (entire duration)

5) Appointment / Offer Letter.

B) Provide if you have it:

6) Promotion Letter

7) Appreciation letter by any client

8) Any documents under the sun which supports your claim.

Follow the above mentioned, do further research (also refer to Kubeir Sir's videos on related topics) and you will be through.

Glad you came up with this response. I have watched this video already and aware about reference letter. I can prepare that. Also, i can prove authenticity of our company with all the GST returns we filed every month.

I have issues like.
1. I don't have salary slips to be genuine as i was handling the business so paid in cash.
2. I have filed ITR which is under non taxable limit.
3. Bank account statement is not available as i was paid in cash.

My concern was if there is any additional documents like government affidavit or declaration to support my claim. I can prepare fake experience letter but i don't want as i genuinely worked hard on my company.

What should i consider now. I have CRS score of 429 if i am able to validate my work experience.

Any input from your side will be precious for me.

Working in father’s company is one thing and being paid in cash is another, deal with them respectively.

Like I mentioned before, remuneration in cash is also accepted (even if you are working in your father’s company) but the onus is on you to prove it.

Go through the following video and all your queries will be answered regarding cash payment.

2) For point 2, ITR will work even though you filed your taxes under non taxable slab but you showed yourself as salaried in father's company.

Also you do not need to make false documents, take some time and think of all the possibilities and i am sure you will find enough proof to support your claim.
