Hello forum members!

I am pr of Canada and want to invite my mother to visit me in Canada for the birth of a grandchild this winter, maximum stay is 3-4 weeks.
I am worried that financial documents will not be sufficient :
- my mom is Ukrainian 61 year old and has her pension every month which is $550. (I do not support her)
-she owns a house.
-she owns 10 hectares of land which she leases to the farmer for next few years.
-her bank statements for last few months were between $1000-$1600.
-mother traveled to Thailand, Austria and India in the past.
-My spouseand my incomes are median( so we can attach bank statements as well), but we do not keep money in our checking account usually all gets spent on bills and investments we make.
- I am full time student and work part time.
-spouse works full-time.

My worry is month end bank statements balance is very low on last three months. But we do have good investment portfolio.

please, anyone with some experience give your honest opinion.
Thank you!

For anyone who might be wondering about funds - my mom get her visa.

- She is divorced long time back and has no parents or any children except me who is in Canada now.
- She had approximately $4000 accumulated from her pension and land rent on her checking account. Also we put our checking account: 1 month was lower than 50$, next one we kept $2000 and next one we kept more on it. Also we added our investment account.
- We did not buy air travel tickets- instead created a detailed itinerary.
- Also we wrote invitation letter from her and she wrote letter as well.
- Added her COVID vaccination certificate.
- We put that her stay will be at our home for 4 weeks.
- we applied on September 13, got invitation for biometrics on September 14, did biometrics on September 30. And on October 7 - received invitation to submit passport for the visa.

good luck to anyone who applies for their parent’s visitor visa to Canada.

Hello Svetlo,

Could you please provide detailed itinerary as I am about to apply for Temporary visa but stuck on how to book Air and Hotel tickets?
And, worried as to what to do if the decision doesn't come by the dates I would have booked the tickets?

How we can create detailed itinerary without booking air tickets and hotel?

Thanks in advance
