I am 34 years old. I've completed Masters in Finance in 2011 and B.com in 2008. I have close to 11 years of study gap. I want to pursue Master's in Finance planning and controlling or corporate finance from Canadian University. Any suggestions whether I should apply for student visa?

Get into a public university first and then apply for a study permit. No one can tell you your chances as it is dependant on funds, career progression in home country, strong ties etc. However if you have a Master in Finance another Masters in Financial Planning/Corporate Finance (does this even exist in Canada) is very close so is not education progression.

You can certainly try. Make sure you pick a top school in Canada to strengthen your application.

Thank you for your response. I have MS finance but it is into portfolio management and investment banking which is not related to my current field.
I have 1 more question, I have been trying for PR since 2.5 years but my NOC is not in demand since more than a year. Now my application got expired so will it make any impact on my study visa? Is there any way VISA officer will get to know through any credential about my PR application?

Is this for Queens, if so great school. VO officers will still question your program. What application expired?

Yes it will impact your application. VO will see that you have tried to apply for PR unsuccessfully so it will hard to justify that you don’t want to remain in Canada.
