Hello everyone! I’ve been reading posts and comments here for a while, looking for cases similar to mine. Glad to found there are some but each case really is unique on its own. I do have questions I haven’t found answers to. I’m currently on the waiting period after my initial medical which required me to do additional tests: sputum culture and X-ray. I was told that the sputum culture result is to be expected this week though I haven’t received it yet. My predicament is that when I had the initial X-ray, I had a cough and that is when they found apical opacities on my lung, TB suspicion. And when they told me that I’d know the results after 2 months, I got worried since I had kids at home and would not wish to infect them if indeed I had it. So I opted to have myself checked by a pulmonologist and although the sputum smear and GeneXpert test showed negative, my skin test result was positive meaning I had been exposed to TB bacteria, so he told be I had latent TB and prescribed prophylactic TB treatment for 4 months. Now, I read on a blog that if you take antibiotics or medication for the lungs, there will be changes compared to the previous X-ray and this would be a reason for the immigration doctors to think you have active TB and will affect the medical badly. Is this true? I would really appreciate if anyone can give me advice on what I should do. Thank you in advance! (And sorry for the long post.)

I had given sputum smear test and sputum culture test, smear result came out after one week which is negative, and bow waiting for culture results.
1. My query is how long exactly they will announce result, they gave 08 weeks time which is too long, should i email to IOM to speed up process?
2. I had gone thru
# skin test, # mtb and blood test for t.b all are negative... Should i share these test reports with IRCC on webform, its feasible...?

I got a furtherance request and I completed the sputum test and Xray. The hospital confirmed that they have uploaded my result. They have given me an acknowledgement sheet. Should I upload it via webform to ircc.
It will be great help if somebody could confirm on this pls

What is the update on your case? what was your culture results?
Can you please let me know what was the process after you received furtherance letter from IRCC. we are in the same situation. Do the panel doctor suggest you on the Specialists or we have to find one ? Hope you have applied Inland . ThanksDear All

I am an fsw outland. For me the panel physician referred to the specialist. You have to meet your panel doctor and he will suggest you the way forward in your regionCan you please let me know what was the process after you received furtherance letter from IRCC. we are in the same situation. I’m same boat I did sputum plus x ray and I met specialist chest and he said no tb right now can you tell me how long will take to pass medical exam do you have any idea ?I am an fsw outland. I don't think you should worry. Things are a bit delayed for everybody now. Since every test has come negative I think they will pass it. There s a huge backlog now n that could be the reason it's getting delayed. ChillYeah they said we will upload it I feel like they will ask more additional test
I really appreciate your words yes my tb was negative I just want to know while they are investigating the tb are they gonna hold all medical results or just the tbI don't think you should worry.
