If you get a positive ECA from WES, then you can apply under Express Entry Program

Hello guys,

I will list down my work experience bellow. Can you please tell me whether I can prove my work experience as 3 years.

After receiving my higher national diploma I went to work while I was doing my degree. I went to do fulltime work because our university conducts lectures in weekends in full days and evening in weekdays. So work while you study in full time scenario. Our university aims to output candidates with 2 years of experience when the candidate completes the degree.

1 - Internship Paid Full Time - 7 months - (not taxed, no mention of etf/epf) - Legit PVT (LTD). Australian company
2 - Working as a freelance social media/web assistance for a client who owned a business (have 20+ workers). I worked Part Time for 6 Months. Salary varied upon the stuff that I do. Had a base + varied amount. It was payed to my bank and I have the receipts. I can get a letter of reference and signed paid receipts from the client - (not taxed, no etf/epf since freelance).
3 - Another client. Payment was agreed before starting the job for one year. Got the salary in different intervals (not monthly) in different amount until the total reaches pre agreed amount. I can get a reference letter + signed bank statements for the payments. So that counts another 1 Year Full Time - (not taxed, no etf/epf since freelance)
4 - After the degree started working on a US company. It's a job. Well reputed company and actually my free lance 1 year job experience (No 3) helped me to get this job. So now working for 1 year and 3 months for that company. So 1 Year and 3 Months Full Time - (not taxed, got etf/epf) - Legit PVT (LTD). Well reputed foreign Swedish company

Together I have 3 Years and 1 Month of work experience. Can I apply under 3 years of experience and, if so, what will be the difficulties I would face to prove my freelance experience?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone I need your advise!

I recently got my AINP Approved and I will get a ITA in upcoming round. I’m single at the moment and but I have plans to get married in February Mid or end. 2022.

I’m thinking the best approach here would be including her asap once we get married so that we both can come together to Canada instead of Me getting there first, filing her spouse application and wait another year?

Only thing I’m concerned here is what if I get my PPR request in January or earlier and we’re not married yet? Can I push my application deliberately ? So that we It can stay on pending till we get married? For Ex: Here in Australia people do no get medicals done till they’re ready to get visa.

I know it’s not a very honest practice to delay your application etc but I see no hard as any way I have to submit another application of her later!

Hi Members,

I have a small query. Please can anyone help me. I am creating my EE Profile. I have a confusion with my NOC Code. My experience is as follows:

1. 2016-2019 - Assistant Manager at Shipping Firm.
2. 2019-2021 (May) - Research Associate and Senior Research Associate ( NOC 1112) - Finance.
3. 2021 June- Promoted to Assistant Team Lead.

Please can anyone guide me in regards to which NOC should I use? Should I use NOC 1112 currently since my ATL role is recent and has been only 5 months?

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
Hi Thanks for the detailed info.

I just wants to know one more thing,on what basis they are sending ITA.Its un predictable! Why is that?

The previous ECA will be valid
From beginning from express entry profile ,PNP application and in PR application not mentioned about PHD degree because doubt for it authentication and even not claimed a CRS point, same reason sent to WES for double check and they declared non-authentic PHD . CRS point were claimed for Master degree ECA. Its consider as a : "MISREPRESENTATION " or not ? Would I need to inform IRCC for this issue? Although I got a PNP nomination as on same status.

Hi Everyone,
I have a question for you all.

I am filling my IMM0008 forms
Under personal details questions# 10
I came here as a student on 2016 and I got my work permit 2018.
Therefore, should I fill the box where it says From & To.

If Yes, Should I put the date I arrived in 2016 and the date my work permit is expiring?
