Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) Application rejected

Hi Everyone,

I received a rejection letter yesterday. However, I have emailed Juanita (Academic Unit Person) to follow-up on the details of being non-competitive and request to reconsider with any desired changes for the same semester (i.e. Winter).

Is there anything else I can do to make it happen?

PS: I Applied for Graduate Diploma in Political Science on the basis of a professional qualification (Chartered Management Accounting UK) and an Honorary bachelors degree in Sustainable Performance Management from UK as well. Hence it doesn't have any CGPA however, my aggregate percentage is above 63%+ which makes around 3.3 CGPA

I guess your application was not competitive enough for this intake. They received a lot of applications with better GPA so yours didn't make the cut. There's nothing that Juanita or anyone can do really.

Your best bet is to reapply for the next intake, if you really want to pursue this course at this DLI. Good luck for next time!

Do you know any other DLI that matches in respect to fee that MUN offers?

MUN is one of the cheapest and easiest universities in Canada to get into. If you want the same program then you will need to do some research. Maybe PEI or Cape Breton.

Even if you get accepted your choice of degree doesn’t make sense given your previous degrees so there is a good chance your study permit will be denied.
