My DM was on 26th July.... no updates after that

Guys, you are scaring me... My DM was on Sep. 15 and was hoping to get the passport before March that my PR expires. Any chance that still may happen or the 6 months is what I should be expecting?

even i had some plans and while waiting for the oath, everything messed up.
Its like a lucky draw. Anybody can get the oath no matter when they have applied and when they get the DM.

You should apply for a new PR Card NOW! It is taking them 4 months to renew a PR card. Don't get stuck in limbo like many others I know. Their PR card has expired and no Oath so can't leave country. Better to have a valid PR card and be at peace until you get Oath ceremony.

Thank you, that's a piece of good advice. I wish the government would have provided the means to extend the validity of the PR card considering the delays in the citizenship grant. Being a family of 5 it is quite an expense to renew the PR cards...

On the status tracker, I can read "updated on 6 October" but cannot see anything changed to "completed" What does that mean?

Got my tracker updated yesterday (checked today) OATH scheduled for Saturday, October 16.

What’s your current application status overall?
If you are already in DM, this may indicate that you are getting an Oath invite in a day or two.

I hope it is oath invitation, but I do not think so. Maybe it is request for interview. Or coming request for fingerprint (That will be the third time I will do fingerprint if it is fingerprint request!!!!). My citizenship grant application is 2016 (Almost five years) Nothing labeled "completed" but the citizenship test, which was done June 2021.

could it be something other than oath taking? For example interview or fingerprint request?
