You include your wife starting the year you got married, so 2018.Hi everyone
I am in a bizzare situation and hopefully someone can answer me.
I got married in 2018 but my wife came to canada as a permanent resident in 2019.do i neee to consider her in my family size for 2018?
If i consider her then family size is 3 and income requirements becomea an issue for me as i was switching jobs but if i dont consider her then family size will stay 2 and there is no problem.
I would highly appreciate if somebody can give me their input on this situation.
You need to consider her in your family once you got married.Hi everyone

Not a blizzard situation at all. You were married in 2018 so your family size includes you, your spouse and parents.Hi everyone

Only Canadian income (NOAs) is considered, so no you can’t include her Indian income.Thank you for your reply.
Now further question is she was working in india at that time.if i have to add her to family size can i add her income from india?this will resolve my problem.
Unfortunately only income from Canadian sources can be included.Thank you for your reply.

was that Indian income added to the 2018 tax calculation in Canada and shows as part of 2018 NOC ?Thank you for your reply.

Doesnt’ matter that she immigrated in 2019. You were married in 2018. So family size for 2018 onwards includes your spouse. You are correct here but my concern is she got her immigration in 2019 and till then she was working and self dependent.
Not funny. You have to include her since you married in 2018 even though she came to Canada in 2019. You meet LICO with Canadian income only or you don’t.Well then this is funny situation for me.i have to add her to my family size and i can add her as a co signer but i cant add her income
Amazing InterestingDont worry spot is not wasted.its just a matter of $200 which i am sure i can resolve.i am good for rest of the years as my family size grew to 5 and i am well within range.
It's 3 years for spousal and 20 years for parents.Well just to let you know here what i have heard in legal terms.
You are responsible and liable for your spouse or sponsored person for 5 years from the day they entered the country.while there file is under process you are not liable.this might not work in my situation but what lawyer told me that a nice letter with explanation will cover it.although i am not going that way but you can make it work.
