Nice one, that's a good sign, eligibility passed now. All you need do now is clear the medicals and once it's updated, patiently wait for the golden mail. Will be over soon. Keep the hope.
Thanks for keeping it moving here. I hope we get good news too. I was almost thinking they closed Accra office as this place has been quiet

Congratulations. I also have interview in iom next month. Please can you tell us your experience/ question at iom Ikeja for guidance. Thanks
First thing first... be truthful about every Visa refusal.
Secondly... know where you work with dates correctly
3.Be confident about where you first met and how you met. The circumstance surrounding the meeting. Also remember you already gave details of how you first met in one of the forms you submitted. Don't change that...just say it with confidence... you will be asked!
4. Know where your spouse work over there and what he does
5. If your spouse has a house... know how much he bought it..also know how long he is going to pay the mortgage...like how many years?
6. If there is or if there are kids on either side... know the details of their grades in school
7. If there is divorce in either side... have good knowledge of the facts and dates..

If you know the above.. any other question will be cheaply answered by you. God bless

The pre arrival is normally sent to those interviews are not required. So since his last response was about fixing an interview date. That explains why he hasn't received the pre arrival yet. Once he does then no interview required. Prolly he wud get it after the interview.
I got pre arrival letter after my interview. That is after uploading the additional documents requested.

Please at what point do they do Background checks after interview and pre-arrival letter?

So i think the BGC is initiated when the visa office starts processing your file you will see this from GCKEY where it reads "we are processing ......." it initially reads something I don't recall.

From my knowledge, when it comes to BGC, the date is normally visible after an approval is made. Trust me the BGC could even be have completed say, months ago before an approval. I haven't seen anyone who claimed was approved right after BGC is cleared even though that might be normal to other applicants.

Personally, I think the BGC is cleared when PAL is sent, but from further research means its a genuine relationship and no interview required. I think it's done cause sending one an eligibility letter to apply for services only means he has met the requirements. Most applicants who receive the PAL are approved even though its not an assurance.

So for sure, your BGC is either done or has been initiated already waiting for verification.

Please urgent help.
I have interview this month. Just going through my forms again and noticed mistakes on dates of visitation by my lawyer . He also misunderstood the question of ( describe the circumstances of your first meeting). He described when my husband met me for the first time in person, but that was not our first communication. Please want can I do. Can I correct it during the interview or stick to what the lawyer wrote ( which I think doesn't make sense). Please I need someone who has gone through similar issue to tell me what they did. Thank.

You have to really be guided by the Holy Spirit. I will suggest you have a chat with you lawyer... let he or she advise you... because WHAT IS VERY INPORTANT IS THE STORY OF YOUR FIRST MEETING MUST MAKE SENSE. MY PERSONAL SUGGESTION IS THAT, IF WHAT THE LAWYER WROTE DOES NOT MAKE SENSE... JUST TELL YOUR ORIGINAL STORY AND LET THE INTERVIEWER KNOW THAT WHAT IS IN THE FORM WAS WHEN YOU ACTUALLY MET PHYSICALLY...

As an amateur, and unprofessional, firstly I would advice you double your prayers as only God can work things out for you if you change any story in there.

Fact is, the only truth they have is the story in your file hence any questions and answers provided at the interview will be crosschecked with that. I think would be best you answer in accordance to what is in there.

But if you wana be honest, that's you because only you understand what type of nonsense the agent wrote and prolly might not make sense to the interviewee. Its very unfortunate but, its just a risk to change your story and pray they don't regard it as MISREPRESENTATION. That is a reason a refusal or denial is given. But it would also be dependent on the interviewee. They at times come in moods so read his/her mood and play along.
