Yes. Applied in late March and got a temporary application number in late April 2021. Nothing else has happened since then.

You have to track your application to be sure it got to IRCC. This is why registered mail is always advisable for sending PR application.
It all depends. It could take up to 9 months (sometimes less) to 1 year to get the permanent application number and for processing of your application to begin.
The temporary number helps you in case you want to make reference when you contact them. Example is when you change your address or telephone number. You need to update.
I have used my UCI and date of birth to check my status and it returned nothing. It says that one of the possible reasons is that my application processing hasn’t started.
i saw some posts here of Jan and Feb 2021 saying that IRCC started processing their applications.. so they should start processing yours very soon..

Applied April tried to link but no data. Hope processing will start soon.
We have the same timeline. I also applied in late March 2021 and got my temporary number on 28th April, 2021.

Are you a protected person or an express entry candidate? You need to understand your pathway and the timelines.
Laughable but I don’t think you need it anymore. You can now monitor your progress and communicate with them when necessary.

I sent all the documents and forms to the Mississauga office via a post on 07.09.2021 and received my AOR and temporary application number start with XG and 9 digits Numeric number on 16.09.2021 by email.
I checked the processing time for PR on the following website and it is showing 22 months

please guide what is the next step to do

The next step is to wait and get your permanent application number that would also show they have started processing your application.

One of my friends submitted a PR application through a lawyer in February this year, he was trying to link the application to CIC account, but he was unsuccessful, is it normal that it’s almost 8 months, but still couldn’t find the application to link, or it will not come upon search since he applied through a lawyer. Would appreciate it if someone have a similar experience or give some spotlight on this issue. Thank you.
