Missed my AOR?

I applied for Canadian citizenship on May 31 via the online application. On September 7 i received an email from the government saying:

"Your application was created in our system on September 7, 2021 and is currently in progress" and inviting me to use the Application Tracker.

However I never received an email with an application number. I'm seeing that other people who applied on May 31st received their AOR on September 7th on this sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...1tgK7yqAgQ5Jfyxv7BEI/edit?pli=1#gid=270862106

Do I need to call the government? is there an email that slipped through the cracks?

Yes. It is advisable that you call just to make sure. Did you apply using a paper application?

Normally the file/application number comes once the AOR is received. Also check your junk email if you haven’t already done so. If it doesn’t help the best bet is to give them a call. Make sure that you get on the line at 8am to avoid the delay in getting through to an agent.
 
Check your spam folder. The AOR email comes from
Do Not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre <Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca>
Subject: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: Information about <your application number> Correspondence Id: x-xxxxxxxxxxx
and has a PDF attachment

I think you meant to reply to OP, not me. It's not my concern.
 
I just called IRCC - turns out my application was cancelled for some reason. They said there were no notes on file, so they think it might have been cancelled by accident. They said they will follow up with the office and that I should hear back within 30 days.
