Ryt Kai, we did upfront for the smooth acceptance of all forms. We did Bio in Nov 2020 after we received a request from IRCC and we did medical in April 2021 - we also submitted PCC in April 2021 as suggested by our lawyers.
Hi Rakap

What is PCC?

Police Clearance Certificates - PCC. Our lawyer suggested we do upfront medical and we completed it for keeping the process smooth.

Hi Rakap,
For me, it is not really necessary to prepare all related docs in advance since most of them are only valid for a specific period of time.
Furthermore, According to IRCC's official instruction: “Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.”
- Anyhow, In case you have prepared the PCC in advance - Especially the PCC from abroad in case you used to live there more than 6 months so that you are able to send it to IRCC as soon as it is requested, it looks reasonable to avoid any future delays, please see below which is extracted from IRCC instruction :
"We strongly recommend that you take steps to get your police certificates now to avoid future delays"
- But to take the Medical Exam in advance for SUV PR applicants is not recommended by IRCC, this is because :
"We’ll send you a letter to tell you how to get the medical exam after we send your application to the visa office"

Just for your reference only, my friend
Cheers
Kai

Hey everyone,

I have been lurking these forums for nearly 2 years when I first considering the SUV process as a result of getting into a well known incubator. A lot of the early comments were so helpful that I decided to not only pursue SUV but also skip a lawyer for the process. I managed to get the AOR and biometrics done weeks before everything shut and the uncertainty since has been annoying. However, I can see a lot of us are in the same boat and I at least wanted to share positive news. Some are similar to @Kai Nemo as we have similar AOR month?

So, here's my timeline after collecting all the docs including LOS.

Date Received: January 9, 2020

Biometric Requested: January 31, 2020 (and AOR confirmation with above date) - I also linked my application online on the same day.

Date of Biometrics Enrolment: February 14, 2020 (was travelling in US but managed to do this 2 weeks before shutdown!)

ADR requested: July 17th, 2020 - Following docs requested and required to be sent by 2020/07/23 (was tricky!) :
  1. Term Sheet
  2. Proof of work history
  3. Proof of studies
  4. Proof of incorporation (we are still only incorporated in the US)
  5. Additional proof of settlement funds
  6. A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM
    5669)
  7. Business plan
  8. Completed Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)
  9. Travel History Info Form (mine needed extra pages like before)
  10. A separate and newly completed Additional Family
Information form (IMM5406) bearing original signatures
Medical requested: September 14th, 2020

Medical passed: October 3rd, 2020 (4 days after appearing for it)

2nd ADR requested: August 25th, 2021 - Following docs requested and required to be sent by 2021/09/01 :
  1. Police Certificate (given additional time up to October 25th)
  2. Bank statements for the past 6 months.
  3. A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM
    5669)
  4. Completed Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)
  5. Travel History Info Form (mine needed extra pages like before)
  6. A separate and newly completed Additional Family
Information form (IMM5406) bearing original signatures
3rd ADR: September 2nd, 2021 - A period has passed since your application. Provide the up to date progress and growth of the
business. (required to be sent by 2021/09/09)
IELTS language exam results (strange that this was re-requested but I uploaded the scanned copy of valid results)

Re-Medical requested: September 3rd, 2021 (prev one was expiry in a month)

4th ADR: September 13th, 2021 - IELTS language exam results (strange that this was re-requested but I uploaded the scanned copy of valid results)

Invitation to Pre-arrival services: September 15th, 2021 (assuming eligibility has passed!)

Medical passed: September 24th, 2021 (9 days after appearing for it)

And just an hour ago, I did get a fresh PCC which I have now uploaded and the waiting game begins (again!) :) - I will update this post if there's more progress.
I hope this information helps those waiting or thinking to apply. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer and please do your own research!

Hi Swarooph,
Thank you very much for your very helpful sharing.
Congratulations on your very good news !

Yes, our timelines are most likely the same since my AOR was also 7th Jan 2020.
As you mentioned that you had requested to upload the "IELTS language exam results".
Could you please share with me :
1) The first IELTS Exam result which you had submitted along with your PR application => when did you take it?
2) The second IELTS Exam result which you said that is still valid => when did you take this exam?
3) When officers ask you to re-upload the IELTS Exam result => Did they have any reasons or explanation suchn as: "you haven't uploaded your IELTS result yet" or " You need to update your new IELTS Exam result because it is out of date"....?
Looking forwards to your prompt sharing & reply
Wish you will get the PPR soonest
Cheers
Kai

Thanks Kai, things seem to be finally moving for our AOR batch!

1. I took the IELTS test in December 2019.

2. I uploaded a scanned copy (original was sent with application) as the TRP since the test results are valid for 2 years. Also attached a text PDF of the provisional results from IDP but not sure if it was necessary.

3. No, it simply said: Please provide your IELTS language exam results. This must be received at this office by:
2021/09/20

Will update once I get PPR!

Hi Swarooph,
Thank you for your very quick response my friend..!
Due to my city is now entirely locked down by Covid 19 so I am wondering if we are requested to update again the new IELTS Exam or not. If yes, I have no way to take an exam because all IDP and British Council language centers are closed by the city law.
All the best for your PR application and Hope you will arrive in Canada soonest
Cheers
Kai

Hi Swarooph,
Once again thank you very much for your kind reply to my question above.
Due to I saw the processing time of your file between each step very fast (less than one week from ADR2=>ADR3 then Medical Request,...) so I assume that you are a solo-founder, aren't you. I mean that I wonder if your SUV project is your own/only one member or you are starting up the project together with some more co-founders?
Looking forwards to your reply
Regards
Kai

We are two co-founders in the company but only I applied being the essential one. As for docs moving faster, based off my GCMS notes, it seems like my file was pretty much good to go a year ago too but travel was shut. They are probably just checking everything again - only this time, it's faster.

Hi Swarooph,
Wow, your file looks very brilliant as well as you have only one Essential...that is why it has been moving very fast comparing with others.
If the pandemic was not so serious, I assume that your file would have been approved last year.
Anyhow, it is now your turn. Wish your file is moving smoothly and get the PPR soonest.
Thank again my friend

Yeah, it was not an easy decision but my co-founder did not have the exact settlement funds back then and we decided to get LOS only for me. I even skipped the work permit but thankfully our business survived and actually did well since the pandemic. How many co-founders do you have? And I am curious if all of you have been receiving ADRs and other requests at the same time?

Hi Swarooph,
Our team has 4 members and all are Essentials.
Yes, We have received ADRs which were most likely at the same time...only one or two day difference.
- The requests for personal Information e.g. Proof of Bank Settlement fund, Proof of Studies,... are 95% the same.
- Regarding the requests for business: Almost the same too, only some differences depending on the job description of each person in the company.
Thankfully, We have a very strong team not only in the background of technical knowledge & working experience but also very good at financial issues. Therefore, we could respond to all of the respective ADRs very quickly & truthfully.
Only one problem is our files have much more information than others so officers need much more time to process than your case having only one essential.
Cheers
Kai

Swaroop - a small question here on the nonessential member - do they ask anything other than the initial docuements, any updated documents to be submitted for non-essential or it's all focused around the essential member.
