I’m an international student in my 3rd semester in Canada. I entered with a new passport and a multiple entry visa from a previous visit on my old passport. Now as my trv visa expired I applied for a new visa within Canada. Will it be for the same validity of my study permit or can it be longer?

If anyone was in a similar situation please let me know your experience.
Thanks

Your TRV validity will be similar to that of your study permit.

Thank you for your reply.
My only window to travel is during Christmas break because after the winter semester I will probably be busy applying for pgwp and looking for work.
Now the processing time is 157 days which will be past the winter break.
Do you think my visa can be rejected for this reason? And is it advisable to withdraw my application?
Thanks

What is the validity of your study permit? If your study permit is expiring in winter break, it is not worth going for TRV.
