I hope that I put this topic in the proper thread.

I am working as an electrical technical instructor for about 10 years now and the nearest NOC for this job is 4021 (College and Other Vocational Instructor).

Due to the nature of my work, I am highly capable to work under NOC 7242 (Industrial Electricians).

In this regard, is it okay to claim NOC 7242 (Industrial Electricians) as my experience if I am going to apply for PNP?

Thanks to all.

You claim the NOC if your responsibilities in your signed employment letter match it. So if your job responsibilities from your employment match NOC 7242, you can use it. You can’t use the NOC if you are capable to work in it. You need to prove it with employment letters.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

By the way, should I ask again for a certification from my former employer? or the one that I am handling right now is enough.

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by “certification from former employer.” Your employment letters must match the NOC. If you are an instructor, how will your responsibilities match NOC 7242.

Im still waiting for my ielts and WES so the final CRS will be known after that.

My current job is instructor which is 4021, but I want to apply also for provincial nominee but it seems the opportunity for 4021 is less.

However, there are plenty of opportunities for 7242 and because of that, I am wondering if I can claim 7242 since I can do what the code specification is.

What PNP programs are you eligible for. So do you have work experience in NOC 7242 with employment letters, not your instructor position.

So you how are you eligible for Manitoba PNP - job offer through recruitment initiatives or family/friends in the province?
No, I am not yet applying for it ... as I have said, I still planning if it is possible.

Otherwise, I will look for other provinces that are suitable for 4021, if any...

You need to research each PNP program to see if eligible. Just looking at in-demand NOCs is not of any help, if you aren't even eligible for the program.
