Timeline to get passport back after submitting to VFS In USA

Any idea on how much time it’s taking to get the passport back after sending it to VFS NYC or other locations in USA

It only took total of 7 days including weekend !

Hey. What kind of package service do they offer for the 2-way shipping? Is it like a 2 day air shipping or something like that?

In the USA there is no option to choose its standard overnight fedex
You need to pay for 2 way shipping

Yeah I do understand that. Is it like a priority one day delivery once the VFS gets the passport back from VO after stamping?

they will text email you when they collect or ship the passport
It’s done by fedex priority so yes you should get it next day or two

Thank you for all the info. When you tracked it upon submission, did it require signature on delivery? Is that normal? Hoping to see the same 7 day turnaround. *fingers crossed*

it was Covid times I think thy just knocked n dropped It
I don’t really remember if I signed it or not - but it’s irrelevant- doesn’t matter

Yes - technically. This was an Outland PR sponsorship. Everything was completed from the US although at one stage the application was sent to India (because we're Indian citizens) and that was all completed very quickly. For all intents and purposes, it was from the US.

Thanks! Yeah. It was just received at their (VFS) reception desk. Hopefully we get the passport back in the next week or so.

I got my request letter today, do I submit passport or copies of passport,photocopies through courier or do I submit it in person-go to newyork vfs and submit the documents?
