I honestly dont trust IRCC's agents any more. I called them twice to check if i can apply another application or not in EE and guess what, they have me two different responses. One of them said it is allowed and can submit as many applications you want whereas the other agent said no to submitting another EE application.
I have it in written as well as mentioned above by another group member.

I don't understand why people keep talking about applying again. How do you know they are not gonna stop processing CEC one month from now and come up with another excuse?

Moreover, I will rather sue IRCC to get my FSW application processed than put up another application via CEC. At this stage, it is not about time or money anymore, it's about what is right!

They initiated FSW draws in 2020 and invited applicants to apply, they ought to process those applications - simple as that.
It’s personal choices. Being pnp, I would prefer getting PR under CEC as I will not be under any obligations to the province. But if you are fsw, then the 2 are the same.

Anyone in this group who applied for CEC parallel to FSW inland application at the same time and got updates, or got approved ??
Is it advisable to apply under CEC after all the madness we have been through ??
Not fsw but pnp and CEC, I have 2 applications under process. Pnp 10 months, CEC 3 months.

My IELTS score is valid until November this year and I will finish my 1 full-year Canadian experience by one month from now. But I haven't decided yet if I want to apply again under CEC Express Entry or not.

- Already paid the fees for FSW
- Applied for new 40,000 International Students stream in May and I think I paid something about $1,200 there (no news there too!)
- Received Ontario nomination for Master students last year and paid $1,500 there (although I decided not to apply for Federal afterwards because I had to pay another $1,500 and wanted to move to another province)

I don't think that I'm mentally ready to pay another ~ $1000 to $1,500 to this inept government, as if I haven't paid them enough money already during all these years since I started my application for study permit!

This is very true, CEC or FSW they are both part of the Express Entry program. The non-sense, unethical treatment that was happened to FSW especially the inland ones, may as well happen to CECs at one point of time. If I am not wrong that have been the case 2018-2019, where many inland CECs was complaining about the fact the FSWo is being processed faster! The excuse would be "we need to clear backlogs!" Maybe I would understand the idea of re-applying if eligible to a complete different program, but not EE again!

Giving your situation, it's really matter of a time game, you are now eligible to any program for PR in Canada, and you will get it! I'd disregard Ontario nomination (Expensive + It won't be finished before a year from now). Processing of TR to PR seems to be the fastest, once you get AoR. I'd be waiting for this one and hoping for FSW to come at anytime before AoR of TR to PR so that you can get full refund (BTW that's my situation as well!).

Thanks for your optimism. Yes, it's a matter of time game which could take another 2 years!! :):(

I paid for pnp last year. Filed pnp based CEC in Nov and paid 3500 to fed. Applied again 3 months ago and paid abt 2500 (without RPRF). Why I paid this extra amount? Well, until I am PR, I can’t make a decision to but property and meanwhile the interest rates are likely to increase. Other than that my time towards citizenship will start from pr as I have already spent more than 3 years as student/worker and only 2 years of thus period will count towards citizenship as half. There’re other aspects; can’t study anything while on work permit though I want to.

You basically explained the pain of most of the Inland people waiting for a decision for about 2 years now....Its painful, we did not deserve what we are going through.

I don't know whom to share this with, so I'm just randomly throwing this out here, with my inland survivors family here... :D

I'm really hopeful with Liberals again in power that they will change the cabinet and have new immigration minister, who will "hopefully" escalate our process! Else I'm going to be all over my re-elected liberal MP, enough of this.

Enough of stress, enough of explaining everyone why-every-peer-of-mine-is-getting-pr-after-applying-6-months-after-me-while-no-news-from-me, enough of explaining my status in canada to every recruiter, enough of hearing I-am-sorry-but-your-sin-starts-with-9 from my bank advisors, enough of my current job which I'm keeping as backup for cec, enough of not being able to buy property or certain assets, enough of paying overcharges everywhere, enough of not being able to travel outside the country or see my family and friends around the world, enough...!

and yes, enough of that bureaucrat process that we had to go through for applying PR, from police clearance to medical to gathering all the documents in the right way. Why should I spend more money again to apply in CEC and go through that hassle - while there is no fault of mine!

I'm just hopeful that someone, somewhere is reading my rant and will get the personnel accountable to do the right thing with us. I'm just in this journey from past 10 months and feel this bad about it, I can't even imagine how my friends here who are stuck from over past 2 years are going through. I just wanted to tell those folks - please don't give up, it's just a matter of time. I will try to reach out to people, who will hear you and may do something. If not, I'm always hearing you, cheering you and supporting you as an invisible stalker here. Cheers!

Thank you for coming to my ircc rant. :p

I don't think the results of the election will change anything. My guess is that now that the election is over, they have one less excuse to delay things.

I had an email schedule for today 8am for my MP, congratulating him for his reelection and asking for his help. I've decided to contact him as soon as the campaigns started and I just got an auto-reply to contact them today, and so I did it. lol

Yeah, liberal government will probably mean escalating the process for refugees, not us! After all, refugees need help, right? They are more important than legal hard-working immigrants like us.

Anyway, loved your post! :)

We all echo the same
Thoughts as you. It’s a disgrace to be treated this way. Feel like being punished for having applied earlier.
