Hello, I applied for my mother's supervisa in 2020. She recently received her visa but due to travel restrictions she cannot travel to Canada right now. My husband was the co-signer on the supervisa application. I want to separate from my husband now. Can he prevent my mother's entry to Canada in any way? What if he goes to IRCC or CBSA and says he is not the co-signer anymore?

1/ Then you would have to meet the LICO on your income.

A supervisa is not a reason to delay staying in a bad marriage. You will need to qualify on your own if your spouse withdraws himself as a co-signer.

But she has already received the visa...can it be revoked or can she be denied entry?

Yes he can ask to withdraw his support before she lands. LICO is pretty minimal as it is and for a supervisa there needs to be proof that you have some funds to pay for extra living costs, the high const of supervisa insurance, any routine medical care, etc.

Can you please let me know, my husband will be co-signer for my parent's Super Visa.
What Immigration Form he needs to submit, how can he say he is a Co-signer. Are there any Immi Forms to submit?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are forms he needs to sign and he will also need to submit his CRA NOA. Following the super visa instructions. The details are all there.

Thank you, Scylla.
I could not locate the actual form. Can you please help me?
I have three more questions to ask if you can help, I will appreciate it.
-I am on Mat Leave, I do not have Employment Letter? In this case, what document can I submit? My husband can have the employment letter, though.

-Duration of stay: My mother will stay for about 3-6 months, what should I mention while filling the application? 1 year? 6 months?

-My mother has some saving in her account in back home? In the section, funds available for the stay, can I add, my bank account fund, my husband's bank account fund and my mother's bank account fund? Any idea how much available fund will be good to demonstrate for me and my husband?

Thanks in advance.

Hi
My wife and I would like to bring her parents (my in laws) on supervisa here. She is a housewife ( unemployed) so no employment letter or pay stubs of hers is available, however, we did file her income tax return on zero salary and got NOA. Our household income (my income) can well cover for the LICO. Can she still sponsor her parents for supervisa(I will be co signer)? We got our PR in March 2022.
Did anyone ever got the supervisa for your Mother in law based on your wife's unemployment and husband's income?

Yes, you can do this.
