Yo if I’m tryna reposition for OINP french stream or Human capital stream. When would be a good time to edit my profile, I know they do draws every two months. Last one was around July 21 and 23rd, so I’m assuming this month around the 20th, I’m scared of reducing my scores tho and then FSW holds and I miss out. What do you think?

He is specifically talking about FSW draws not happening on which he is right, Canada can do whatever they want and we cannot do anything about it but what's shitty is there is no communication from IRCC about this and if people knew that FSW draws won't happen, then they will not waste money on IELTS and ECA.
As @seadrag0n said it that Canada can do whatever they can however it is just stupid that they do not communicate. The question is why? We already spen 2k EUR and we are not even at the ITA stage.

I imagined it to be much more developed and modernized now compared to old India that is often stereotyped in the movies.
A lot of Indians speak English but they are still happy moving to the Gulf and European countries where the language is not used as much? Sorry for my ignorance
Don't think there are too many college educated (read tech workers mostly) Indians looking to move to the Gulf region. The tax incentives are no longer there and most of the gulf states are no longer welcoming expats anyway. Actually many Indian PR applicants are currently gulf residents, whose only other option is to return to India.

Of course our population means that even a small % translates into a big absolute number but most of them are tech workers who can anyway get commensurate jobs in India with perhaps a higher saving potential. Some of the key drivers remain (in no particular order) - Lure of the west, earning and hence saving potential (though this is no longer true especially if one goes to Canada which taxes heavily) poor work culture in India and the absolute grind that life has become in the major 3-4 cities which has the lions share of tech jobs.

Work life in a typical Indian corporate, even the Indian arm of an MNC, can be exhausting with its life sapping politics and paranoia. If you are foolish enough to even pretend that you have a life outside work, you can kiss goodbye to your career growth. Burning yourself out is seen as a badge of honor and 'work life balance' are for wimps. So such a system is not really sustainable, let alone in the long but even the medium turn. Many professionals in their late thirties/early forties have to cede ground as there are simply enough young graduates to take their place for a third of their pay. Because of the huge domestic market, a culture of mediocrity doesn't hurt and is often tacitly encouraged.

Now I don't know if the above can be addressed by moving to Canada.

There is no pattern with OINP anymore, they used to do a French draw followed by a Tech draw followed by a Priority Occupations draw which is not happening. Unless your score is more than 481, you are not getting ITA in the first draw if it happens so reduce your score now and wait.

Do any reshuffling at your own risk. If french isn't your first language, it's ludicrous to pretend like it is, to lower your CRS for the french stream. In my mind that's 100% misrepresentation. Have fun living in fear of your app getting rejected and you being banned for 5 years or whatever. Or evn if you misrepresent and get your CoPR, good luck living in fear of it coming up later and causing you issues with citizenship or having your PR revoked.

It's curious how people with nothing to lose (those who already have ITAs or aren't personally affected by the FSW situation) are always the ones to suggest these bullshit tactics to game the system. If French is your first language, sweet, treat it as such. But putting a CLB 7 as your first language (for example) and a CLB 10 as your second language cannot be justified as being honest.

So OINP must be really stupid and dumb to nominate these people right?

It would be nice if you’d pause to get some information before going off on ur self righteous rant. I never said I was going to claim french as my first language. If you would actually read the OINP page you’d know it doesn’t require you to. You just have to have at least CLB 7 in both English and French. I simply intend to not claim points for my partners education and Test results and my scores will drop significantly to the score range, that isn’t misrepresentation.

You can be as snarky as you want. But at the end of the day, you're the one recommending dubious shady shit to people because you have nothing to lose. Given how unpredictable IRCC has been, it is risky to intentionally lie on your profile. Whether or not YOU consider it lying doesn't matter to an applicant whose application is at risk.

Calm down. I wasn't specifically saying you were doing that. I knew seadrag0n would respond (which he did) because he's been saying this nonsense for a while, and this was more of a response to him. As long as you're careful with misrepresentation, you're fine. And just based on what some other people have done, it's probably better to not mess with your original profile, and make a second one with the modifications. That way if the oinp cap is removed, you still have the high scoring account active. Self righteous lmfao get over yourself.

OINP never says that you need to be French speaker, they just said you needed to be bilingual.
Also, OINP might be working on removing the 468 cap. Just chill bud you could get invited as well even if you don’t fall below 468 now.

Ah I see, I didn’t know you could do that, have multiple profiles I mean. With the same GC key ? Or like a completely new one ? That would make more sense I believe. Thanks

Right it's not an OINP issue. They can nominate regardless of their caps. The misrepresentation stuff comes into play after the nomination when your app goes to IRCC. I vaguely remember a sentence along the lines of "choose the order that gives you the higher score" in the express entry profile creation, but I could be wrong.

New one. Actually people have been saying that having a second profile is illegal. So do it on your own risk.
