Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

Hello Everyone,

I have applied CEC Express entry in December 2020 with my husband who is in India (outland dependent ) .
Just now I have received one Request letter in my cic account. I am confused if that is a Passport request for my husband or what. Can someone please confirm if you have received similar letter and what action you have taken on same?

Below are some details from letter - Point A seems a Passport request for my Husband in India.

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You
must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your
Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for
any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform our Edmonton IRCC office
immediately via the IRCC Web Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp with
details concerning your situation.
Due to the current situation regarding the novel coronavirus, if you are unable to provide the
requested documents by the due date, please advise our office. We understand that some
documentation may be unobtainable at this time. Your application will not be refused because
you are unable to provide the requested document on time.

STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS
You must submit together:
1. One copy of this letter.
2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.
3. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member. Photos MUST
meet the precise specifications found in the link below or in Appendix A at the end of this

All required documents must be submitted in one single package.
A) To submit your package while overseas:
Please submit your package to the nearest Visa Application Centre along with the VAC
Passport Transmission fee.
For Passport Transmission instructions and fee details, please visit:
https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/


B) If you are currently in Canada, you are not required to submit your passport and will
be landed virtually. Please advise our office via webform within 5 days of receipt of
this letter if you and/or any of your dependents are in Canada. Please include each
person’s name/UCI and where they are currently staying/residing (in Canada or
overseas).

I guess this is PPR for your outland dependent. your VO?

No PPR for dependent yet.

Today my medical again got updated as passed on Sep 15th.It was recently passed on Sep 06 after the remedial for the outland spouse.Is anyone else on the same boat?

Yeah I haven't seen such letter in this forum so was confused but it seems good news for me and my husband. My Primary VO is Edmonton.

They became mentally upset so accept them.no issues with ur medical at all.

It’s been more than 1.5 years since i put the my file under CEC category, everything is passed in my file as per ircc agent since Feb 2021. However, before 4 months ago i got the re medical request and today now my wife got the re medical request. But she did her first upfront medical 9 months ago, so it’s not even 1 year.

Should i call at cic or raised the web from? Or better to do re medical asap and upload it ?

@SathyaPriyatharsini - Many congratulations!! Can I know what was the valid to Date of Medical's of your dependents in India when your file got Approved? My dependants medicals will expire Mid Jan 2022 hence wanted to refer your dates before I go for re-medicals of my outland dependents. Current status of my file is Medical Passed since 19 April. AOR 31 March 21.

Well, there is no travel ban since Sep 7, 2021. I don't understand the point. @legalfalcon Sir am I missing anything here? why IRCC agents are keep saying due to travel restrictions they can't process PPR? as per my best understanding, there is no travel ban unless they are talking about a direct flight ban from India to Canada.

Starting September 7 only foreign nationals who qualify can travel, not everyone.

My spouse (Outland)got the PPR and after few minutes I got the Portal Request.
Do still I need to fill the webform to let them know that I am inland ?
They mentioned in the PPR request

Received same letter for my daughter. We submitted her passport at the vfs. Still the PP is with them. Waiting for my daughters PP with stamped visa and CoPR. We did submit a webform as me and hubby are in Canada. We informed that we both parents are in Canada and mentioned our UCI with address and contact details. it shud be sent via webform within 5 days of receiving the letter for ppr. Please send them a webform from ur side. We are still waiting for our portal mail. Hopeful to receive it soon.
