Okay so I think you must be done with medicals for you to ask this. The truth is IRCC has 12 months on average and hence even if they might be done they could hold it till they are free and attend to complete the file. That also depends on the visa office to.

So for your question, from what I read online, depends on your travel history, visas attained, educational and work backgrounds as well as family, hence the more travels one has made might take a bit longer. You would be surprised on the date of completion that ur background check was finished say months ago. So personally I would say depends on the visa office and how easy it is for them to access info from other organisations.

Its cpc sydney , is it slow? Thanks for your reply they asked for a police clearance on june 17 and i sent it ever since then no reply

Not sure about how slow they are, but currently IRCC has their automated response saying they are prioritising on the afghan crisis and hence am sure they are insinuating that one should expect some delays again. However if you are that bothered you could send a webform and if there is no response. Give them some few months say 3 and if nothing happens contact them again. But I can see that atleast your file is in process so very soon you should be done with your process.
