Can I leave and re-enter Canada while waiting for PGWP?

Hi there! I am wondering if someone ever tried to re-enter while waiting for PGWP? I want to go back to my coutry for a few weeks but not sure if its a right thing to do. I have a valid visitor visa, but at the time when I will come back my study permit might be a few days before expiry date

I finished my studies on Aug. 20 . My student visa expiring on Oct 30. I was planning to leave Canada right now and come back at the end of October( maybe 26-28). So I might return a few days before my student visa will expire.

Study permits are valid till the expiry date or 90 days after you finished studying. ( whichever comes first )

Aug 20 + 90 days comes to around Nov 20ish.
You should be fine.

what about the case where:

Student TRV (counterfoil in passport) : expires June 2022
Study permit: expired May 2020
Current status: PGWP

My doubt is, since i am no longer a student (but a worker) and need to travel home, can i use the student TRV in my passport (considering study permit is expired and my current PGWP isn't a travel doc)? or do i need a new TRV based on my current work permit?

Hi,
I applied for PGWP from India and my studies finished at the end of July . Presently I am having student TRV and it's valid until 30th Sep 2021. Is it possible to travel inside Canada since the PGWP is under process?

Please let me know anyone travelled like this.

I hope you already finished your studies and applied for PGWP. It depends on the immigration officer in landing either they will allow with student TRV. But I checked with a couple of agencies they mentioned not to travel with student TRV if your studies are finished.

So we have to wait until PGWP and will get for work TRV 3 years
